It feels like a lifetime since we’ve had any updates about Adele. But, that is all about to change. MSN reports that the British singing sensation has joined forces with none other than Phil Collins to make music for her new album. Yes, the Phil Collins. You could strike us down with a feather right now.
Collins revealed the startling fact that he didn’t even know who she was: “I've just started to work with Adele. She contacted me to write together. I wasn't actually too aware (of her). I live in a cave.” Hate to say it Phil, but that might actually be true. With the singer’s second album, 21, named as the best-selling album in the world it almost defies logic that there is anyone on the planet who hasn’t heard Adele’s mellifluous vocals.
But, the Genesis singer redeemed himself by waxing lyrical about the singer’s obvious talents: “She's achieved an incredible amount and I really love her voice and I love some of that stuff she's done. So, to me, it's always an eye-opener. Educational." Educational indeed. And, there is much Adele can learn from Collins’ own award-winning career. What the two will actually produce together remains unknown — a sequel to “Sussudio” perhaps? (MSN)
