Handcrafted in Nairobi from recycled canvas, unused leather cutoffs, and reused roadside banners, the line has been created by communities of women affected by abject poverty in the region.
Dame Westwood has long been outspoken about waste in the industry. She has stated in the past that she thinks we are “buying far too many clothes" and urges everyone to “invest in the world” rather than fashion.
