H&M Wants Your Vote For The Next Big-Deal Designer

Last year, it was Minju Kim who came out on top of the H&M Design Award competition with her playful, abstract silhouettes and charming, avant-garde take on fashion. And, as of this morning, H&M has announced the fresh set of finalists who could be following in Kim's footsteps.
Composed of up-and-coming designers and students from around the globe, the individuals in this new batch of possible winners each bring a very different flavor to the contest. There are neon, athletic-wear-inspired pieces; more-is-more, head-to-toe stripes, polka dots, and candy-wrapper-like fabrics; and poufy, pastel knitwear that's sweet and daring all at once. And, you can trust that the finalists have what it takes — they were hand-selected by a jury including Erdem Moralioğlu, Michelle Dockery, Michelle Harper, Serena Hood of British Vogue, Sara Maino of Vogue Italia, and H&M experts Ann-Sofie Johansson and Margareta van den Bosch.
Of course, we'll keep our picks for the winner to ourselves. After all, the decision is really up to the public. The H&M Design Award site is open today, so you can cast your vote for the designer whose collection deserves the $68,000 prize and will have a chance to present his or her creations at Stockholm Fashion Week. Jump ahead to eye all the lines vying for the honor.
