Call it celebrity schadenfreude or just plain pettiness, but we sometimes can't help but take comfort in seeing stars look a little less than glamorous. So, needless to say, we jumped for joy yesterday when Kim Kardashian took a break from posting carefully orchestrated selfies to offer up what may be the raddest, most delightfully awkward #TBT Instagram shot of all time. Look! It's her and Nicole Richie at the tender age of 13!
"#ThrowbackThursday @nicolerichie and I being oh so cool at 13 years old," Kardashian wrote of the refreshingly normal picture, which shows her and Richie flashing a thumbs-up. Yes, back before the gals became known as style icons and ambassadors of glam living, they were just two crazy kids with powerful dads and hefty orthodontist bills. North West's mama had yet to discover makeup, and a braces-wearing Richie still hadn't dabbled with boho chic. Ah, memories.
