When we think back to our favorite moments from the Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence's elegantly hilarious fall on the way to accept her award takes the top spot. Not only was it just so J Lawr to take a spill, but her adorable reaction brought some much-needed laughter to the slightly stiff show. It also cemented her place as America's favorite. Since she's such a good sport, Lawrence reminisced about the big moment for W's latest awards-themed issue. As it turns out, the reason for her fall wasn't too many pre-show glasses of bubbly, but cake. That's right, cake.
Jennifer told the mag's editor-at-large: "I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear
if my name was called, and I kept thinking, cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is 'cakewalk' stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, 'Kick, walk, kick, walk.' You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell." Well, if that isn't the cutest reason for a fall we've ever heard. And, just when we thought she couldn't get any more charming. (Entertainment Weekly)
