This season, Girls will feature a bunch of cameos that we're excited for, with Amy Schumer, Rita Wilson, Kim Gordon, and J.Crew president Jenna Lyons all set to appear on the show. But, the cameo we're most excited for might not come until season four, or five, or maybe even six.
But, the chance to watch Victoria Beckham chew up scenery alongside Lena Dunham is worth the wait.
At last night's Girls season three party at New York's Lincoln Center, Dunham was asked what she thought about Beckham's November comments in which she admitted she would "love a cameo" on HBO's hit show. Needless to say, Dunham — a noted pop-culture junkie — was more than enthused at the prospect of having one the world's most glamorous fashion icons slum it in Bushwick. "That shocked me!" Dunham said about Beckham's small-screen aspirations. "I was like we’ll get to work on that! I’d love to see Victoria Beckham, like, dress it down a little bit, maybe do Victoria Beckham as somebody’s adult-education teacher or something.”
Since all of the show's characters are well beyond the point of needing adult education, we'd wager that Dunham's tentative idea is something of a long shot. What about having her play a Polish deli owner in Greenpoint who tries to lure Adam away from Hannah with the promise of an endless supply of borscht and pierogies? Wow. Can we get a writing credit for that, please? (Vanity Fair)
