Actually, what you're witnessing is a make-up marvel at work: well-executed highlighter. Applied to the tops of her cheekbones, the inner corners of her eyes, and on either side of her nose, Seydoux looks like she's bathing in warm afternoon sunlight. We can almost hear the birds chirping. It also looks like she's wearing the same pink tint on her lips and cheeks, keeping the whole look beautifully fresh and simple.
For a similar effect, we love using Kevyn Aucoin's Celestial Powder in Candlelight. And, for darker skin tones, the brand's Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting blends beautifully. So, there you have it: Winter doesn't mean you have to look like a victim of the zombie apocalypse. Here's to outer radiance when inner radiance is in short supply — we think it looks just as good.
