Okay, all right, we know. Lipstick is hardly a trend or anything new. But, the point is, it's about to get even more important in the beauty scene in 2014. WWD reports new data from The NPD Group, Inc., showing that millennial women are purchasing lip products in droves.
While we still love a good mani, we've seen nail art decline over the past few months after a serious heyday. It seems, given this info, that wild lip colors will be the new ubiquitous trend stepping in, as nails fall back on a more traditional route. And, what with statement brows being all the rage, it looks like the advent of bolder, brighter lips in a wide range of colors will be joining the party. We'll call it a statement face, if you will. We're hoping this means the same expansion and innovation from brands that the nail-art frenzy provoked. Because, as we know, you can never have too many lipstick colors. (Styleite)
