At this point in the season, listicles and rankings are nearing fatigue-mode. But admittedly, we're still as obsessed with lists as ever. We're also pretty into sweatshirts — as was most of the greater trendy world. Take Kenzo's designer pullover, for example: It was basically the item of 2013. It spurred a revolution of slouchy-chic that started in the streets and hit Lincoln Center plaza just in time for Fashion Week.
Over the year, through various shopping lunch breaks and market research alike, we observed that sweatshirts started mirroring events happening in pop culture. Miley Cyrus twerked, a sweatshirt was made; the term "selfie" entered the dictionary, a sweatshirt was made. So, without further adieu, let's take a moment to remember all the highs (literally) and lows of 2013 pop culture, through the year's most comfy trend.
