What started out as a couple of over-caffeinated RISD design dudes looking for a place to lay their heads (two words: air bed), has completely changed the travel industry. And, when our city’s domestic darling Airbnb opened the doors to its new home in SoMa this summer, its enviable digs really upped the ante for anyone in search of an inspired 9 to 5.
A few teasers: The light-soaked sprawl is equipped with art installations, a Heath Ceramic stocked kitchen, meeting rooms that replicate the most badass global listings, and an open atrium, prime for a little afternoon window peeping.
Naturally, we spent a day documenting the office and got to know a few stylish staffers along the way, getting them to dish about their own Airbnb experiences. Take a peek after the jump — just be prepared to spruce up that resume and send it on to HR, stat.
