The move back to Chelsea (at West 16th Street and 7th Avenue) is significant in that it brings Barneys back to its roots. This is the spot where the retailer opened its first store in 1923. We can thank chairman Richard Perry for this impressive expansion. He helped turn around the company's near $600 million debt. Can we have this guy manage our wallets?
