“In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world." Creative director Olivier Rousteing couldn't find better lyrics to describe the new face of Balmain. Coincidentally, it's the model who wrote them.
Though Rihanna's no stranger to the fashion world, this is the first time she's appeared as the face of the French luxury brand. And, the first snaps to be released are amazing. As in, they're "wavy, tousled hair and big, gold bling" amazing, with the songstress giving us serious face while decked out in all denim for one look and appearing in a robe-like, pink-houndstooth coat for another.

Lensed by the legendary Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the first two photos were already flooding our Instagram feeds this morning. However, the official images are set to appear in print in January fashion magazines, which, fortunately, should be on most newsstands any day now. (WWD)
