Jimmy Kimmel Prank Convinces People That Anyone Could Be Person Of The Year

Remember this day, folks, as it's bound to be the only time you'll ever see Kris Jenner, Mama June Shannon, and Pope Francis mentioned in the same sentence. (Well, at least we think so.)
As you may have heard, the pontiff was named Time's Person of the Year for 2013, continuing the magazine's tradition of recognizing important world leaders and visionaries. Unfortunately, it seems that some people either haven't passed a newsstand lately — or they have some pretty questionable standards.

In the latest prank from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, individuals on Hollywood Boulevard were asked for their opinion on fake Person of the Year winners, and their responses are pretty hilarious — though a little concerning. To be fair, Toronto's mayor Rob Ford, who admitted to smoking crack several weeks ago, does raise a few eyebrows, but others said the mocked-up selection of Honey Boo Boo's Mama June is "kinda cool," while the "What Does the Fox Say?" guys from Ylvis make a "great" choice.
But, as "fascinating" as Shannon is, it's Kris Jenner who earns the most praise. "She has hustled her way this year," one bystander raved when told that the Kardashian matriarch had earned the lofty distinction. "She is a household name. Everybody knows her. She has just been on everything and everywhere, so I think Person of the Year would be a good accolade for her."
So, when are we going to take home the prize? Oh, wait.
