Sometime during the evening of Wednesday, December 11, Kate Barry fell to her death. The British-born photographer's body was found on the sidewalk below her fourth floor Paris flat around 6:30 p.m. and confirmed dead by the police soon after, according to The Guardian.
There's no word as to the details behind the 46-year-old's death. Officials are reporting that her apartment was locked from the inside and various news outlets are saying antidepressants were found within the home. That, however, doesn't indicate much of anything.
What matters now is how her friends and family are coping with her sudden passing. Barry is survived by her mother, Jane Birkin, her half-sisters Charlotte Gainsberg and Lou Doillon, and her son Roman de Kermadec. Our sympathies go out to the entire family. Barry's legacy will endure in the fashion and fine-art creatures and creations she captured in celluloid. (The Guardian)
