Well, that was fast. It hasn't even been two weeks since we've been mourning the loss of Brian Griffin, TV's greatest dog. And now, news is breaking that the little guy is already heading back to Family Guy. According to Entertainment Weekly, Brian will be making his reprise on December 15, and the rumor is he'll be there to stay. The network isn't commenting on his return or just how he'll manage to come back from the dead, but we can only imagine that MacFarlane and company will come up with something fitting and outlandish. (For those who missed Brian's fateful passing, he was run over by a car and then given a proper burial.)

What we do know is that Brian's storyline will start to heat up, as he's slated to become obsessed with a runner — played by Maya Rudolph — in an episode that will air this fall. It may not make a whole lot of sense, but we're happy that man's best friend is back in business. (Entertainment Weekly)
