Lorde Crashed Vevo With Her New Music Video For "Team"

Lorde basically broke the Internet last night. The anti-pop star of late released her newest visual for "Team" and crashed Vevo. Lorde's reign over us commoners is so strong that we apparently flock the digital forum too quickly for security to handle. Talk about the power of pop.
According to Lorde, her newest music video came to her in a dream. Taking to Facebook, the singer explained that she dreamt of "teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen." The aforementioned queen is presumably Lorde herself. She, however, barely shows her face. She rules over her make-believe kingdom from a hazy, sweat-filled room while her people flee Lord of the Flies style, only with cooler clothes. "Sometimes the person who loses is stronger," Lorde explains. Yes, and sometimes it's the quiet outside ruler who has the biggest impact of all.
