Claire Danes Is A Feminist, Totally Sounds Like Our Kinda Girl

claire2Image: Via Glamour.

She's played our teen alt-girl hero, a real-life female pioneer, and a seriously badass CIA agent who, okay, sometimes gets weepy on the job. Is it any surprise, then, that
Claire Danes
has proudly proclaimed herself to be a feminist?

The actress opens up about her girl-power position in the January issue of Glamour, which sees her gracing the cover in a summery, red-and-white printed dress from The Row.
"I am a feminist," she declares. "And I’m so glad that [Girls creator and star] Lena Dunham exists, because she is one too, and she’s quite vocal about it. Yes, women have more freedom and more influence than ever, but it’s hardly equal. It’s just not.”
After seeing Danes photo-bomb Dunham at the Emmys, we're not surprised to see that the two actresses have joined a mutual appreciation society. And, we're even more delighted that they're united in the fight for women, especially when so many stars shrug off that role. This may just be the post-"Blurred Lines" chaser we needed. (Crushable)
