Keira Knightley's Wedding Dress Just Keeps Getting Better

There's not much that will shock us on the red carpet anymore. Partial nudity is old news, and fast-fashion finds and repeat dresses have all been done to great effect (Helen Hunt, anyone?). So, it wasn't totally surprising when Keira Knightley repurposed her Rodarte wedding dress yet again at an event this week. In fact, the frock was already on its second leg for her actual wedding!

We are, however, quite pleased with this little number's versatility — not to mention Ms. Knightley's down-to-earth approach to red-carpet dressing. After all, celebs attend so many public events that it must be exhausting to find something new each time. The Oscars are one thing when it comes to bespoke and couture, but for smaller scenes? Yeah, we'd be shopping our closets, too.

The actress wore the dress over a mesh...thing, complete with pearly embellishments at the collar and cuffs. An interesting choice, but we kind of dig it, especially for colder days (though, the sandals probably wouldn't help much). Dutiful readers will recall that she debuted the white, tulle dress — more of a cocktail number than a wedding gown, really — in 2008, before wearing it again at the low-key ceremony for her marriage to James Righton in May of this year.

Pictured here in 2008 at a BAFTA awards dinner in London, Knightley decided to forgo jewelry and other accessories, instead pairing her frock with black pumps and tights. We shudder to think back on some of the stuff we were wearing in 2008, but clearly, the Keira here has taste enough to stand the test of time.
