Cate Blanchett is talking to a dead fish with its eyeball rolling out, Bradley Cooper is dancing in the rain talking about money troubles, and Greta Gerwig is crying to a taxidermy bear. And, while none of it actually makes much sense (to us at least), there is a simple explanation: This year's New York Times Magazine Making A Scene short videos have just been released. In true form, they are as avant garde and head-scratch provoking as ever. That's not to say we don't thoroughly enjoy seeing these micro-characters get into it — really into it — like Adèle Exarchopoulos's sexy maniacal scream. We're just wondering if writers like Lake Bell, Spike Jonze, and Seth Rogan are pulling some video wizardry on us. You watch and be the judge. (New York Times Magazine)
