We are a mere week away from the release of Britney Spears' eighth studio album, Britney Jean, but that doesn't mean we can't listen to it in full now. Yes, world, Spears knows she has the most anticipated album of the year and has bestowed upon us a full album stream to calm all the roars and applause buzzing through the airwaves.
iTunes is hosting the full (begrudgingly edited) album stream, so getting your daily dose of pop, the sweetest meal of the day, is as easy as some of the songs on the radio today! Upon first listen, Britney Jean is a solid reflection of the heavy electronic state of pop we're currently circumnavigating. will.i.am's influence is apparent on almost every track, and Spears' vocals bring an air of nostalgia to the otherwise deep-club tracks. It might not be iconically Britney Spears, but it's not not Britney Spears either. She has, after all, made a career out of strategic subtle image changes, as opposed to other artists who overhaul their image with each single they push out. If anything, Britney Jean will yield some insanely good remixes that'll keep the kids twirling into the wee hours of the morning.
