Fast-fashion label Uniqlo is getting a bit of a makeover, and come spring the Japanese brand will be channeling some serious French-lady style. Teaming with model and designer, Inès de la Fressange, our go-to for basics will debut an exclusive collaboration. As WWD reports, the partnership happened when the company's design director Naoki Takizawa spotted de la Fressange wearing his collection. Like us, the style muse seems to appreciate the clean lines and great fits the label is know for.
Together the two have joined for a collection that mixes de la Fressange's POV with the public's desire for exciting, new styles at affordable price points. As she points out, “In 2014, luxury style and brand distribution can go together." While designer collaborations have been a part of the Uniqlo DNA for a long time — some our favorites include the Karen Walker and Suno offerings — this new line will feature clothing as well as accessories, jewelry, stationary, and glasses. In addition, when the new collaboration drops in March, it will land in all store locations around the world. Yep, we're all about to get a generous helping of the new Euro-infused Uniqlo, and we can't wait to see what it looks like. (WWD)
