But, perhaps the police force in Strömstad, Sweden, should have been aware of the store's effect when it was called to investigate a domestic disturbance that woke neighbors at 1 a.m. The screaming and banging wasn't the result of any violence, fortunately. It was just the product of a couple trying to figure out complex IKEA furniture-assembly instructions.
And, a wailing baby was also present. "It remains unclear if the baby was simply crying in need of attention, or whether it too was frustrated by the complexity of the Ikea instructions," The Local reported. Not detecting any immediate danger, the police apparently left the couple to their Allen wrenches and missing hex nuts. (The Local)
