Obsessive pop fans pride themselves on their uncompromising — and sometimes extreme — loyalty to their idols. But, while they may think they are just die-hards, everyone else sees a darker side to their dedication. These mega devotees can have a delusional sense of control over the destiny of their favorite artist(s). Beyoncé fans may not be as notoriously dramatic as, say, Lady Gaga's Little Monsters, but they certainly have strong opinions about their icon. And, for some members of the Bey Hive, those feelings apparently extend to whether or not Queen Bey should attend Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's upcoming nuptials.
That's right, one of Beyoncé's fanatics started a Change.org petition urging the diva to not attend the impending Kimye matrimonial spectacular. Not that we, or they, know if she's even invited. Though, given her status as one of the most famous people in the world and Jay Z's wife and the star of Kanye's favorite music video she probably is. But, if the Bey Hive can stop it, she won't be in attendance.
Originally titled "BEYONCÉ CANNOT ATTEND KIM KARDASHIAN'S WEDDING," the outrageous petition demands fans to take action: "We must do all in our power to stop Beyoncé from attending that god forsaken wedding." Somehow, the plea garnered 250 signatures, before the person behind the campaign suddenly closed the petition and declared the whole thing a joke. The Change.org page now reads, verbatim: "IT WAS A JOKE I DONT CARE IF BEYONCÉ GOES OR NOT SHE'S A GROWN WOMAN!!" In other words, this person totally cared, but at some point realized how tragic their display was, suddenly grew up, and decided to get up, get out, and do something, Macy Gray style.
