Courtney Love Is Back & She’s Not Selling Out

Courtney Love, the former lead singer of Hole and infamous Hollywood celeb, is back — and very much in control. In the winter 2014 issue of Fashion magazine, the cover star reveals her plans to release an autobiography and stage a big comeback. As the singer explains, "Listen, if [Orange Is The New Black star] Natasha Lyonne can burn down a house and Robert [Downey, Jr.] can go to prison for two years, I deserve a second chance. I know there is hope for me."
But, Love will be making this comeback entirely on her own terms. Read: not selling out. "There will be no biopic on me," says the '90s icon. "I will never sell my publishing. I won't let that happen"
The singer is equally candid about her fractious relationship with Patti Smith, telling Fashion, "I grew up on Patti Smith, worshipping Patti Smith and she always gives me this hairy eyeball. I’m seriously going to sit down and write her ass a letter if [she] keeps doing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and keeps evoking Kurt. Now she becomes the guardian of the dead people. That’s her trope. My friend planned Allen Ginsberg’s funeral with her and they got into a huge fight because she has like no sense of humour."
We're pretty sure the same could never be said about Ms. Love. In fact, we're more than a little excited to see what is in store for her. Here's to her second (um, fifth?) chance. (Daily Mail)
