Natalia Kills seems like the sort of celebrity we'd really like to hang out with, if only in hopes that some of her cool-girl style might rub off on us. We can picture it now: She'd let us tour her closet, we'd dish on all those fashion-week shows where she sat front row... But, then, we'd have to add one more thing to our pretend-agenda: uncovering Kills' beauty secrets.
The look she pulled off over the weekend at Topshop Celebrates the Holidays at The Grove made us do a double take: Kills has done the seemingly impossible, working a bold lip and a glittery gold cat-eye simultaneously. The makeup artist behind this double feature? Erin L. Moffett, who sees gold glitter as the perfect punch to any outfit — and the easiest way to make eyes pop this holiday season. Here, she used Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Vintage Black Gold followed by a layer of Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Black Karat for extra shimmery dimension. In fact, Moffett loves glitter so much, she cites it as one of the reasons she became a makeup artist (we don't even know her, and we can tell we'd get along just fiiiine).
And, about that bright lip? Moffett went less fire-engine, more ruby red by layering MAC Lip Pencil in Beet with a Bite Beauty lipstick similar to the brand's Luminous Crème Lipstick in Tannin. It makes a statement without going overboard when paired with a dramatic eye. It's a combo we'll be stealing as our social calendar calls for holiday-ready, more-glam-than-we're-used-to makeup during the weeks ahead.
