We really can't express just how much glee it gives us when our favorite designers pair up with our most beloved beauty brands. These special collaborations usually result in some pretty amazing primpers (cough, MAC Ruffian Red, cough), so we're always on-board when a designer wants to get his beauty on.
Vivienne Westwood is the latest fashion stalwart to dive into the beauty realm, and of course, she opted to partner up with a good cause. The iconic designer joined forces with do-gooder beauty brand Lush to create a limited-edition Knot-Wrap that helps raise awareness and funds for Climate Revolution.
The Knot-Wraps, which go on sale November 18, are a Lush holiday staple — inspired by the Japanese art of furoshiki. Made of 100% organic cotton, the wraps can be used as gift wrap, a headscarf or neckerchief, or a framed piece of art. Westwood has created an exclusive design for the brand, which will be available in camel or light pink.
"I always say, 'buy less and buy better quality, so that what you buy will last,'" says Westwood. "These Climate Revolution Knot-Wraps can replace wrapping paper and will last a lifetime. More importantly, when you buy them, you join an uprising: The Climate Revolution that we need if we are to have a future that we can survive and thrive in."
