As we say goodbye to Halloween, we welcome the holiday season with open arms. Okay, perhaps it's a little premature to be excited about the upcoming festive period, but it never hurts to think ahead. Case in point: Secret Santa gifts. Yes, that tricky office tradition will soon be rearing its ugly head coming around again quicker than you think.
A recent survey conducted by a gifting website reveals just how wrong this particular gifting exercise can go and, suffice to say, the results aren’t pretty. Over 1,800 office workers in the U.K. were interviewed for this survey and 55% agreed that they had been gifted a Secret Santa gift they considered “unusual or inappropriate,” and 73% agreed that the gift they received was something they “really didn’t want.” Judging by the list of the 10 weirdest gifts, compiled by the anecdotes from the office workers who took part in the survey, we can see why. Who would ever consider it appropriate to give a dog lead to a female coworker who doesn’t even own a dog?
