Painted Lady: Marion Cotillard Is A Work Of Art In Dior's Latest Campaign
comments
The striking image — photographed by Tim Walker — is a blaze of cobalt blue and crisp, bright white. It appears to have been shot in a gallery with Cotillard posing as the work of art. This marks five years of Dior campaigns for the Inception actress, and it's definitely one of our favorite looks.
Cotillard pairs a dress from the resort 2014 collection with a matching paint-box Lady Dior bag — a classic that has impressive details and requires eight — yes, eight — hours of craftsmanship. The bag’s distinctive pattern was inspired by the Napoleon III couture chairs from the first Christian Dior show in 1947, not to mention the carryall was favored by Princess Di.
What do you reckon? Is MC the best dressed Dior model ever? Or, are you still daydreaming about that first Raf Simons' look? (Grazia)
