There's no question that Kate Moss and Vogue are a match made in fashion heaven. The model has appeared on the cover of the mag's British version 33 times (seriously!), not to mention her countless modeling gigs in the interior spreads. Plus, we don't have to remind anyone that Moss is pretty much the world's arbiter for all things cool. So, her new appointment at British Vogue is only natural.
The magazine announced today that Kate will join the team as a contributing fashion editor, responsible for styling and working with photographers and models. It will be her first time on the other side of the camera for the fashion bible, but editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman thinks she's already a natural. "I am absolutely delighted that Kate is going to work with us in this new role," she said in a statement. "Her undoubtedly brilliant sense of style, depth of fashion knowledge, and understanding of what makes a wonderful image will be exciting to see used in the pages of British Vogue. I am really looking forward to working with her on ideas."
The magazine is keeping mum on just what Moss' first project will consist of, but it let slip that her debut story will be in an upcoming spring issue. Regardless, we know it will ultimately be chic and fiercer than fierce. Let the speculation begin.
