Yosra El-Essawy Is Beyoncé’s Tour Photographer And A Bad-Ass Cancer Fighter

How would you feel if you'd landed the job of your dreams, working for the person and the team that meant the most to you, but then cancer struck. Would you call it quits? Rage at the unfairness of it all?
Or, would you accept the situation and count your blessings? That's what Beyoncé's official photographer, Londoner Yosra El-Essway, has been doing ever since she was diagnosed with stage four oesophageal cancer.
El-Essway was only six weeks into her dream gig as Beyoncé's official tour photographer when the diagnosis hit. In the video that Beyoncé's team posted about El-Essway, the photographer talks about this period: "I have never felt more grateful in my life. This is a gift to me. This period is happening for me, not to me, to the point [where] I don't even feel sick. I feel incredibly, incredibly blessed."
And, the best bit? El-Essway recently published on her Facebook page that her tumour has shrunk by 30% after only three rounds of chemotherapy. Brava, Ms. El-Essway, we're with you every step of the way. (Daily Mail)
