Wow, we didn't expect this so soon. Just two weeks after its release, the wonderfully bright and budgeted iPhone 5C is getting its discounted day. And if you know where to look — like here, for starters — you won't be paying Apple's $99 price tag anytime soon.
First up is Best Buy's flash sale. For this weekend only, the iPhone 5C is on sale for a mere $50. Tech deals like this can be harder to come by than a dishwasher in an NYC apartment, so if you want the cheap and cheerful phone, come and get it. Of course, there are strings (and fine print) attached. According to ABC News, through Monday October 7, Best Buy will give customers a $50 gift card when they purchase the phone (essentially a rebate). So, with a new contract, the 16GB model comes out to $50.
Never one to be underpriced, Walmart is getting in on the action, too. For its "fire sale," you can get the 16GB iPhone 5C for $45 on contract, five bucks less than Best Buy — and this price-drop is rumored to be permanent (or at least last through the holiday season). Even Radio Shack is selling it for $50. So, with thrifty 5C options like this, we think Apple's underrated little phone might finally get its due. (Gizmodo)
