UPDATE: We just got word from Zagat that while Michael's Pizzeria did rank as one of the best pizza spots in the country, no one spot has been officially named the number one spot in the U.S.
When it comes to the great L.A. versus N.Y. debate, we West Coasters unanimously agree that certain things are undeniably better about the Empire State. On this list is everything from late-night partying, a clear difference in seasons, and pizza — err, until now that is.
Zagat, the supremely trusted restaurant review guide, just named Michael's Pizzeria of Long Beach the number one pizza in the entire country. Ranking number one in SoCal last year, the Neapolitan pizza maker's generated some buzz for a while now, but this is clearly the biggest honor they could ever receive.
As for N.Y.C? Well, a snowy winter is still hard to beat. (laist)
