It's On! Get Your Tickets For Gilt City's Warehouse Sale

We make it a point not to compare D.C. to NYC — it's apples and oranges, people. But there is one arena where we wish our city was a tiny bit more like the Big Apple, and that's sample sales. Legit, lose-your-mind, discount bonanzas are few and far between in the DMV, so when the biannual Gilt City Warehouse Sale rolls around, we get pretty excited. The super sale returns to LongView Gallery on October 18 and 19 (although tickets are only available for the 19th), and brings with it the promise of hundreds of amazing brands at up to 90% off retail prices. Think attainable, affordable Zac Posen, Missoni, Rachel Roy, and Helmut Lang, for starters. (Need proof? The red Zac Posen dress above is marked down to $175 from $1,750; the Helmut Lang leather jacket will be $126 from $1,255; and the Roberto Cavalli leopard dress is $71 from $705.) There's even a selection of discounted menswear finds, in case you want to get a head start on gifts for the guys. As of right now, you can choose from three timed-entry periods on Saturday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 1 to 3 p.m.; or 3 to 5 p.m. Don't sweat the fact that the late-Friday and early-Saturday windows are sold out already — tickets are only $10, so what do you have to lose?
When: Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: LongView Gallery, 1234 9th Street NW; no phone.
