The American Horror Story: Coven Opening Credits Will Send Creepers Down Your Spine

With a mere fortnight away from the premiere of American Horror Story: Coven, the level of buzz has risen. We can't go a few days without some new trailer, poster, or WikiLeak surfacing on the Internet, and, frankly, we wouldn't have it any other way.
As a means of confirming who is officially returning to the show, Ryan Murphy has released the opening title sequence. Breathe a sigh of relief, because the usual suspects are there: Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, and Sarah Paulson. Fans will be thrilled to know that the "will she/won't she" return game surrounding Lily Rabe fared in their favor: Rabe will return, alongside Denis O'Hare.
Murphy has stuck with the usual creepy, oozing soundtrack and spun it over a montage of eerie séances, voodoo rituals, and, if you look closely, levitating bodies. The opening credits have become a vital part of any television show these days, often setting the tone for the entire season. If you recall, both Six Feet Under and True Blood have notoriously been praised for their openers, and AHS is no different. From the looks of it (and the subsequent trailer), we'll be playing with dark magic this fall. Better dust off that black-velvet dress and veil because the witching hour is nigh.
