Snacking Just Got A Lot More Exciting

When it comes to snacking, there's nothing quite like a fresh batch of good, old-fashioned popcorn. And by old-fashioned, we mean made on the stove — not in the microwave. It tastes better and it's a thrifty gal's dream come true.

And, luckily, chef Michael Dean Reynolds from Bread & Wine has shared an easy-yet-tasty recipe that will have you licking your fingers with joy. It's sweet, it's savory, and it's barbecue — no bib required.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne

Steps:
1. Pop popcorn — with a pot on the stove or air popped, no microwave.
2. Lightly dress the popped kernels with olive oil to help the spice blend stick to the popcorn.
3. Mix the spice blend together and shake on warm, oiled popcorn.
