Lena Dunham Channeled The Delia’s Catalogue At The Emmys

Regardless of your opinion of Lena Dunham's Emmy gown, there's no denying that she certainly made a splash. Since she broke out onto the scene several years ago, the funny girl has been paving her own sartorial way — naysayers, be damned. Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss, but she never fails to stay true to herself. And, last night's Prada number was no exception; in fact, even the ensemble's supposed inspiration is right up Dunham's alley.
Earlier this week, Lena tweeted that her sister gave the frock the "truest compliment" around. "It's like the Delia's catalogue made a red carpet dress," said the younger Dunham. While we're not sure a teen catalogue was part of Miuccia's grand vision for this gown, we have to give props to anything that channels our favorite store from yesteryear. And, if anyone can pull off a Delia's-inspired dress, it's definitely Lena Dunham. Now, we have to wonder if she also used roll-on glitter to complete the look. No judgment. (PopSugar)
