During the "Power of Presence" event hosted by Ann Taylor next week, Marie Claire's features director and a LinkedIn career expert will host a discussion about the ins and outs of career advancement, and the mag's merchandising editor will weigh in on how to dress for the office. Then it's time for a tutorial on how to take a great profile pic for your LinkedIn page — after a mini makeover, of course. During the event, you'll also get tips on networking (which you'll presumably try out on the spot) and a chance to mingle with other career-driven ladies. Hey, any time we have a completely viable — even admirable — excuse to justify shopping, we'll take it.
