Watch your back, Zara, because Uniqlo is out to dominate the fast-fashion landscape. While we New Yorkers have long considered ourselves lucky because of our easy access to the Japanese chain, we're about to lose our bragging rights. Underpriced sweaters and heattech tees are about to spread across the good ol' US of A, and almost everyone is getting a piece.
In the brand's mega-expansion plans, Uniqlo will be opening 10 new stores throughout the country, and today they released the details we've been waiting for. Bridgewater, NJ will be the first to reap the cheapie benefits, with stores in San Mateo, CA, and San Francisco following soon after. While the chain still has a ways to go to even come close to the prevalence of Zara or H&M, we're considering this a major coup. See the entire list of stores and opening dates over on Racked, to find your nearest shop. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to stock up on down jackets before they take over the country. (Racked)
