The eyebrow-raising Tumblr feed Rich Kids Of Instagram, which depicts teens tossing around bills, yacht hopping, and popping bottles like it’s their job, is expanding its virtual empire to television.
That’s right, according to Deadline, the bougie blog is headed straight to the boob tube and will be filmed right here on the West Coast, in Los Angeles, and is aptly dubbed Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills, courtesy of E!, naturally. It seems the show will be loosely based on the idea of the site, rather than being solidly based on characters or real people caught on camera, although there will be a few familiar faces.
Honestly, we’re not setting our expectations too high, but we do have to admit we will probably tune in to watch the wealthy-kid whirlwind. No word yet on when it will hit the small screen, but inquiring minds want to know — will you watch?
