Make Eye Contact With Coco Chanel (Sort Of)

Coco
Think you know everything there is to know about Mademoiselle Chanel? Think again. Even 40 years after the fashion legend's death there is still more to discover, as an upcoming exhibition at the London College of Fashion is about to reveal. The collection will showcase portraits of the icon created by California artist, and Chanel's close friend, Marion Pike at the Fashion Space Gallery.
The five portraits will also be accompanied by a selection of couture pieces from the fashion house, and the exhibition's aim is to shine a light on the pair's creative friendship that began in 1967. With Coco Chanel’s impact already felt across so many mediums — books, films, perfumes, and modern day sartorialism — we can't help but be excited by this glimpse into a designer's life that still proves to be utterly fascinating.
When: 5 September, to 16 November, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Fashion Space Gallery, 20 John Prince's Street, London, W1G 0BJ.
