Winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is a big deal. It can really make a career for a lot of designers, as well as provide the mentoring, financial support, and publicity to launch the next big brand. However, the whole process seems as transparent as The Freemason's softball lineup. There's some sort of exclusive vetting process, an exclusive voting process, and an exclusive announcement and celebration…and the closest we common folk get to experience the whole shebang is when we pick up a special CFDA collaboration piece at J.Crew a few months later. No more.

Premiering this December on arts network Ovation, The Fashion Fund will document the process of finding the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner in six, hour-long episodes, and will allow viewers to get up close and personal with the candidates vying for the spot, the key CFDA players, and the kind of resources and community helping support these new talents. Sob sessions in the rag & bone studio? Heart-to-heart breakthroughs in Andrew Rosen's Theory office? An awkward moment with Anna in the Condé Nast elevators? We can only hope!
