Next Up For The Olsens: Styling Children’s Clothes

Something about the Olsen twins playing child stylist seems a little off, or perhaps it's just our own jealousy taking over. Most of us adults can hardly afford their designs for The Row and Elizabeth and James, and now that the duo is lending a keen eye toward styling kids, we're a bit resentful. Alright, alright, we're not completely perturbed over the whole thing: We just wish they'd style us, too!

Mary-Kate and Ashley have joined forces with the children's style blog Ladys & Gents to curate looks for the tiniest fashionphiles, and what they came up with was actually quite unexpected. Apparently, just like everyone else in the world who's ever cooed over a Crewcuts catalogue, the girls have a weak spot for kids in outfits that would look a bit much on anyone else (guilty, here). MK took the preppy route instead of her traditional boho uniform, and pulled looks from J.Crew's kids line. She paired a bold hoodie with a twee graphic tee, boat shoes, and patterned green shorts — we're calling it Baby's First Yacht Club. Ashley took a similar route with a nautical sweater (Baby's First Hamptons Trip, obviously). Aww, but seriously, when's our turn? (E! Online)
