Today we are excited to announce that [Pattinson] will join the privileged circle of Dior faces. Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except U.K.) and Asia (except China and Japan).
As The Cut appropriately wonders, is the pointed exclusion of the U.K. an attempt to avoid the country's increasingly strict Advertising Standards Authority? The Sun reported several months ago that the ads were quite raunchy, so that might make sense, though the first image is just a perfectly clean, nice portrait of the actor. Hopefully, though, the campaign will make its way stateside in the form of a larger-than-life billboard, preferably outside the window of our office. (The Cut)
