Add another one to the tome… To describe his upcoming eyewear collection, Karl Lagerfeld had some flattering things to say about the glasses, but some very Karl things to say about its customer. "They balance ugly faces and they make beautiful faces more beautiful." For both the four-eyed uggos and beauties among us — thank you, we guess?
Non-uglies Jon K and Saskia de Brauw model the eyeglasses in the promo video. "I wear glasses all the time, so it's like selling my soul," Lagerfeld touts while ominous music plays in the background, before an awkward shot of his glasses floating in space, which leads us to believe that Lagerfeld is in on the joke. Like most things he does and says, it's a tug-of-war between Zoolander satire and real-life ridiculousness, which — love him or hate him — makes following his quips endlessly entertaining. These ugly-balancing nuggets of Karl souls will retail for £125 ($195.76 at current conversion). (Telegraph)
