Daphne Guinness Puts Out Her First Music Video, Sounds A Lot Like Nico

These days, celebrities don’t just stick to their day jobs. Personal bios need to be lengthy, as one-trick ponies no longer cut it. Case meets point with famed fashion eccentric Daphne Guinness, who is adding another string to her bow with the release of her first music video. No, we didn’t know she sang, either.
Collaborating with SHOWstudio and taking direction from Nick Knight (a.k.a., the brains behind some of Björk and Lady Gaga's craziest of videos), Guinness has settled on a first single, "Fatal Flaw," which is, as expected, slightly trippy. On a scale of surreal to fantastic, this video falls somewhere in the middle. There’s a lot of high-speed camera action and jagged cinematics accompanying her moody, dare we say it, Nico-like tone. And, of course, fashion-wise, she owns it — those outfits will have you hitting pause all day.

Speaking about the release, Guinness says, “This song came from broken bonds, fragmented dreams. In part, it’s about the sheer randomness of love and its illusionary effect.”
