Carey Mulligan Might Fill Hillary Clinton's Pantsuit For New Biopic

While the world's still spinning in the Gatsby afterglow, Carey Mulligan's got her eyes set on her next shining moment. Nothing is in writing yet, but word from the Hollywood Hills is that the actress is in talks with director James Ponsoldt to slip into Hillary Clinton's pantsuit for the indie flick, Rodham.
The movie focuses on the young Clinton during the height of the Watergate scandal. With the White House looming in the future, Clinton (who wasn't married to Bill at the time) was the youngest lawyer chosen for the House Judiciary Committee to Impeach Nixon. Bill was still practicing law in Arkansas, and their relationship was more of an "it's complicated" status than an "in a relationship" one.
No word on who else is tied to the project, but Mulligan has proven she's got the chops to play an American hardball underneath her polite and quiet shell — have you seen Shame?! Our fingers are crossed for this one. (Variety)
