When Charlie Christopher Abbot abruptly ditched out on Girls' next season, we worried about Marnie Michaels' love life. (So help us if she goes back to that horrible Booth Jonathan.) But today, we saw another House Of Dunham favorite, Michael Zegen, has signed on to the cast. Recently seen in the critically acclaimed Frances Ha (along with Adam Driver a.k.a. Adam Sackler), it appears that his indie cred has landed him a role on the HBO series.
Details are currently being kept under wraps — along with the number of episodes that he's signed up for, but there is a big ol' hole missing in the current Girls lineup. Mainly, a romantic interest for Miss Michaels. Is Michael Zegen going to be the next Charlie? Or can no one replace his whining, puppy-dog, start-up-launching self in our hearts? (Nylon)
