Hey, Refinery29-loving Angelenos! We're looking for bright, new talent to step up to the plate as
Refinery29's Los Angeles editor. This editor will work closely with the site's deputy editor, managing editor, and senior editorial staff to concept and produce Refinery29's L.A. newsletter and site. And, as the Los Angeles editor, you'll oversee the day-to-day production and maintenance of all daily L.A.-centric fashion/culture/news/lifestyle/celeb content, in addition to daily newsletter features.
Additionally, this editor will be responsible for project management, writing, editing, and producing for the local site, scheduling content, assigning stories to contributors, wrangling celebrities, and overseeing photo shoots, as well as keeping a sharp eye on performance, social media strategies, and local audience growth and engagement. The Los Angeles editor will work closely with top editors in creating and maintaining a short- and long-term L.A. editorial calendar, as well as working with the creative team in conceiving original visuals and graphics. The Los Angeles editor should have a wide range of local contacts, strong social skills, established on-site reporting abilities, and aggressive follow-up tactics.
