By now, Rebecca Martinson is a household name — the University of Maryland student and Delta Gamma sorority sister shot to infamy late last week with her scathing, profanity-laced email to the members of her chapter.
And, while the interwebs have slowly imploded with a public shaming of Martinson mixed in with shows of support, this is the best development so far: Boardwalk Empire star Michael Shannon — one of our faves among the show's cast of tortured characters — has done a dramatic reading of the letter for Funny or Die. Keep in mind, this is very NSFW, but we have to hand it to Shannon — his incredible delivery makes Martinson's words seem more comedic than hateful, which is probably the best possible thing that could happen to the disgraced student right about now.
