Everyone Gets Bullied…Even Jennifer Lawrence

It appears, no matter where you go or who you are, there will always be "mean girls." Even Jennifer Lawrence, our BFF (even if she doesn't know it yet), had it rough. In a new, totally Jen interview, she tells The Sun, "I changed schools a lot when I was in elementary school because some girls were mean." See, even the most beautiful, talented, and awesome people periodically get the social sads.
Apparently, Jen got her revenge through judicious use of bodily fluids. "They were less mean in middle school, because I was doing all right, although this one girl gave me invitations to hand out to her birthday party that I wasn’t invited to. But that was fine, I just hocked a loogie on them and threw them in the trash can.”

Of course, there's a difference between being bullied and just dealing with bratty kids (the former is a painful, national problem aided and exposed by social media, the latter is an implicit part of growing up). Lawrence's advice for both is pretty simple, but also kind of zen. "Don’t worry about the bitches — that could be a good motto, because you come across people like that throughout your life."
One of the things we love the most about Lawrence is that — in both interviews and the roles she plays — she rarely fits into any sort of predetermined box. She is neither unrealistically humble or unapproachably cold, and the women she plays are completely multi-faceted and deeply real. She says, "It’s hard for a young woman because typically the roles you’re offered are beautiful and bitchy, ugly and nice or pretty and stupid. I’ve been lucky to stay away from that." Aw, Jen, that's totally true, even if you did do your share of acting against a Sarah McLachlan soundtrack. (The Sun)
